Learning Support Assistant

Contract Type: Fixed term for this academic year, with the potential to extend the contract.

 Start date: February 26th or earlier if possible

 8.30am--3.30pm Monday to Friday

Salary: Grade 3 point 6 (£21 968 ) pro rata

The role would be to facilitate the learning needs of  individuals with additional needs in the classroom working alongside the  Reception staff team.
We are looking for a dedicated and committed team player who takes pride in their work, someone who will support others and work together as a team as well as someone prepared to take initiative.

A caring, supportive person who enjoys working with children and who is adaptable to the spontaneity of young children will suit this role very well.

Previous experience of working with children with additional needs is desirable. Experience of positive handling and de-escalation strategies are also beneficial.

Working with children within a school setting is demanding, but is very rewarding and we can offer you a supportive team who work in a setting based on Christian values and our children thrive in our setting because of the dedication of the team that work around the children.

The role is to support the educational, emotional and physical needs of the individuals as well as supporting the teaching team in a range of tasks to support the delivery of the Early Years curriculum to the individual and small groups of children. The successful candidate would be required to liaise with the SENDCo and classteacher to make sure that individualised provision  for the specific children /child is facilitated.
