Playworkers

Experienced playworkers required for our busy before and after school at West Didsbury C of E Primary.
For this position it is essential that you have a minimum of 1yrs experience in childcare or playwork in either a before or after school club or a similar setting, e.g. holiday scheme or play scheme or a nursery.
We offer a full induction to the role of playworker at the kids club. We also guide all our play workers through various training courses and have access to funded NVQ training with a company called Parenta.

Hrs of work:-  7:15 – 9:00 am and 2:30 - 6:00 pm, 16-20hrs per week, term time only

Assistant Manager

Experienced manager required to lead and manage a growing before and after school club and team of playworkers at West Didsbury C of E Primary.
For this position it is essential that you have a minimum of 2-3yrs experience in a supervisory capacity in a nursery, pre school or before or after school club or a similar setting.

Ideally applicants will hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 or Diploma preferably in Playwork.
We will offer a full induction to the role of Assistant Manager at the kids’ club and the successful applicant will be working closely with the Club Manager.

Training courses will be provided and there will be access to funded training for further development.

Hrs of work:-  7:15 – 9:15 am and 2:00 - 6:00 pm , 28-30hrs per week, term time only.

Class-Based Teaching Assistant and Teaching Assistant for Interventions and PPA Cover

Both Starting September 2018 for 35 hours a week.  The hours would be from 8.30am - 4.00 pm (with 30 minutes lunchbreak), Monday to Friday, term time only.

One position would be supporting the class teacher in one of our Year 3 classes, ensuring that our children make great progress through the year. This would involve support in all areas of the KS2 curriculum, taking groups, assisting the teacher in whole class teaching, and generally assisting the class teacher where appropriate. The successful candidate must be able to carry out assessment of the children and deliver teaching sessions to groups of children under the direction of the teacher, and to deliver PPA sessions with another adult.

The other position would be working in small groups carrying out interventions and booster sessions. Part of the role will also involve support in all areas of the KS2 curriculum, taking groups, assisting the teacher in whole class teaching, and generally assisting the class teacher where appropriate. The successful candidate must be able to carry out assessment of the children and deliver teaching sessions to groups of children under the direction of the teacher, and to deliver PPA sessions with another adult.
Salary Grade- 4 point 17
